Something to be proud of – Havard Nielsen just graduated as international sports manager!

Norwegian completes studies at ESM-ACADEMY
Håvard Nielsen: Bridging Scandinavia and Germany Through Football and Education
We met Havard Nielsen before Hannover 96's away game against Nuremberg to present him with his certificate as an international sports manager. The striker completed his studies in English, which, like most Scandinavians, was easy for him due to his excellent language skills.
From Oslo to Germany: A Football Odyssey
Born on July 15, 1993, in Oslo, Norway, Nielsen's football career began with Oppsal IF before he advanced to Vålerenga Oslo's youth academy in 2007. He debuted in Norway's top tier at just 16, becoming Vålerenga's youngest-ever player. His talent led him to international stints, including FC Red Bull Salzburg, Eintracht Braunschweig, SC Freiburg, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and SpVgg Greuther Fürth. In 2022, he signed with Hannover 96, where he continues to be a pivotal player.
Not the First, Nor the Last
Nielsen, who has been playing in Germany for several years now, is part of a growing number of Scandinavian athletes who have pursued higher education alongside their professional careers. He follows in the footsteps of other Scandinavians who have studied with us, including Per Nilsson, the former Nürnberg and RB Leipzig defender. This tradition highlights how Scandinavian players not only bring their skills to the Bundesliga but also invest in their future beyond football.
So in total, Havards trip to Nuremberg has been a really succesful one as he not only received his diploma, but moreover also won the second division clash against Nuremberg. Congratulations and all the best for your future, Havard!
